The JMU Tunnels

-Home-

Every JMU student has heard stories about the JMU tunnels.  They aren't a maze crossing under the quad or anything.  Instead there are two tunnels, one running up each side of the quad.  Word is that back in the day they were used as walkways between the quad buildings for when it rained outside, that they used to be connected to the buildings at the top of the quad (which are already connected across).  So someone could walk from Wampler to the Music building without going outside.

The pictures below highlight where they are.  I know there was an entrance behind Harrison hall that was always unlocked, but its blocked off by construction now.  I've heard there are other entrances but I've never actually been to them.  Have fun.
